SMS Consent and Opt-In Evidence
This page documents how BookedOnMute LLC obtains and records consent for non-marketing conversational and transactional text messages.
Effective date: August 13, 2026
1. Messaging scope
BookedOnMute LLC uses this messaging program for customer-care and transactional messages tied to a person's request or service interaction. Examples include appointment confirmations, appointment changes or cancellations, requested demo follow-ups, support updates, and requested secure payment-link delivery.
This consent flow is not used for unsolicited marketing. A person can use the website, request information, book an appointment, or continue an inbound demo interaction without agreeing to receive SMS messages.
2. Website opt-in
On the BookedOnMute contact form, a user may provide a mobile number and separately choose the optional SMS checkbox. The SMS checkbox is not preselected, and the form can be submitted without agreeing to SMS.
The disclosure next to the checkbox states that messages are conversational and transactional, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, STOP opts out, HELP provides help, and consent is not a condition of purchase. It links to the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.
3. Verbal opt-in during an inbound call
For an inbound demo or service interaction where a transactional confirmation may be sent, the caller is asked: “For this demo, BookedOnMute LLC can send the appointment confirmation and related transactional updates to this number. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Texting is optional and not a condition of purchase. Is that okay?”
A clear yes is required before the SMS step is enabled. Silence, an ambiguous response, an unrelated yes, or a no is not treated as consent. Declining SMS does not cancel or change an otherwise completed appointment or service request.
4. Consent record
When consent is granted or declined, BookedOnMute records the decision for the applicable transactional messaging scope along with the time and consent version used for that interaction. These records are used to honor the caller's choice and support compliance review.
Consent is limited to the disclosed conversational and transactional purpose. BookedOnMute LLC does not sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent records and does not share them with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Opt out, help, and privacy
Reply STOP to opt out of BookedOnMute LLC texts and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Questions can be sent to support@bookedonmute.com or handled by calling (717) 382-8760.
